Jae-Hyun Ryou and his team have developed a highly sensitive and durable flexible pulse sensor using non-toxic and biocompatible group III-nitride semiconductor thin films. This sensor leverages the strong electromechanical coupling factor of these materials to measure pulse waveforms from various arterial sites on the skin.
