Jooho Moon and co-workers have demonstrated that introducing fullerene at the Pt/TiO2 interface of a TiO2-protected Sb2Se3 photocathode acts as a photoelectron transfer promoter, significantly enhancing the photocathode’s long-term stability. This enhancement is achieved by facilitating photoelectron transfer out of the TiO2 layer, which effectively suppresses the severe electron-induced photoreductive dissolution of the TiO2 protection layer.-Scientific Journal cover design by scapiens
