Preparation and properties of poly(lactic acid)/lipophilized graphene oxide nanohybrids

PLA/lipophilized graphene oxide (LGO) nanohybrids were created using solution blending. Graphene oxide (GO) was modified with alkylamines like octadecylamine (ODA) for better dispersibility. ODA-GO showed excellent intercalation and was used to produce PLA/LGO nanohybrids, which exhibited higher chemical resistance and reduced hydrolytic degradation compared to PLA/GO nanohybrids.
