In their article, Jin Woong Kim, Unyong Jeong, and co-workers present a high-resolution E-skin matrix that eliminates electrical crosstalk between pixels. This innovative diode-based tactile sensor matrix employs a position-registered array of conductive microparticles and Schottky junctions with a flexible hybrid electrode. This new, transistor-free approach to E-skin provides a flexible electronic balance capable of reading Braille with the fingertips.
