Dongseob Kim, Sangmin Lee, and their team have developed the first Capacitor Integrated Triboelectric Nanogenerator (CI-TENG) that uses the capacitor principle to amplify electrical power output. This innovative CI-TENG design combines a sheet metal (capacitor electrode), polymer, and metal (TENG electrode) composite, releasing high current output to an electrode on the opposite side and charging portable devices.
