Flexible Resistive Memory: Na-Cation-Assisted Exfoliation of MX2 (M = Mo, W; X = S, Se) Nanosheets in an Aqueous Medium with the Aid of a Polymeric Surfactant for Flexible Polymer-Nanocomposite Memory Applications

Sun Jin Yun and co-workers have developed a novel aqueous exfoliation method using Na-cations to produce 2D nanosheets of transition metal dichalcogenides. These nanosheets are used in nanofiller-polyvinyl alcohol composites. The resulting flexible resistive memory demonstrated electrical bistable and write-once-read-many-times switching behaviors with a high ON/OFF current ratio of 3 × 10³.
