We introduce a dielectro-optofluidic lens (DOL) that offers dual-mode reconfigurable focusing. This innovative lens manipulates light through a dielectric liquid–aqueous liquid interface, using electrohydrodynamic (EHD) actuation. The DOL operates in two modes: an oscillation mode with a 10 mm focus-tuning range and a static mode with a 1 mm focus-tuning range. This technology allows for precise, on-demand focus adjustment by simply changing the applied voltage frequency. Proof-of-concept experiments have demonstrated the DOL’s capability in extending depth-of-field and integrating with photoacoustic microscopes for focal point adjustment
