Jooho Moon, Wooyoung Shim, and their team have developed a shape-reconfigurable battery that maintains its electrochemical functionality. This flexible and foldable aluminum–air cell, made from aluminum foil and a carbon composite, introduces a new approach to creating highly deformable aluminum–air batteries.
