In article number 2007357, Kibum Kang, SangHyeon Kim, and their team have developed an innovative image sensor using a MoS2/InGaAs van der Waals heterostructure. Unlike conventional image sensors limited by their material’s bandgap, this new sensor is capable of broadband detection, ranging from visible to short-wave infrared (SWIR) light. This advanced technology allows for various inspection applications, including pest detection, by enabling the sensor to “see” a broader spectrum of light. -Scientific Journal cover design by scapiens
