[Scientific Journal cover art] Newly Developed N-butyl Cyanoacrylate (EG glue) for Arterial Embolization: A Preclinical Study in Rabbit Renal Artery

Scientific Journal cover art

N-Butyl cyanoacrylate (NBCA) glue, a popular choice for endovascular management, is commonly used to treat various vascular conditions such as acute hemorrhage and arteriovenous malformations. In this study, we evaluated the effectiveness and safety of a new NBCA-based glue, EG glue, in comparison to the conventional glue Histoacryl for transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) in rabbit renal arteries. Both glues showed similar physical properties and embolic efficacy. Necrotizing lesions were observed in both groups without significant differences. These findings suggest that EG glue could be a promising alternative embolic material for vascular treatments. -Scientific Journal cover art design by scapiens
