Joonwon Kim and co-workers have introduced a novel dip coating method to create uniformly thick layers on serpentine 3D substrates. This technique uses a specially designed supporting liquid that is immiscible, density-matched, and minimizes interfacial tension. The method enables the fabrication of vascular replicas with layer thickness and luminal diameter similar to major cerebral arteries, resulting in freestanding hollow tubular structures.-Journal cover design by scapiens
