Sung-Hoon Ahn and co-workers have developed a 65 µm-long microrobot made from shape memory alloy (SMA) with potential applications in eye surgery. This innovative microrobot is actuated by laser scanning and demonstrates the ability to move forward and turn. It can achieve a maximum speed of 10 µm/s and has a turning radius of 5 µm, making it highly precise for delicate surgical procedures.-Journal cover design by scapiens
