Hyung Mo Jeong, Jeung Ku Kang, and their team have developed high-tap density anode and cathode structures featuring stratified graphene pliable pockets. These structures achieve high gravimetric energy densities of up to 206.9 Wh kg−1. When assembled into full-cell devices, they outperform supercapacitors in energy density by approximately 16 times while maintaining long cycle stability. Additionally, they enable ultrafast chargeable power densities that exceed those of commercial batteries by more than 100 times.-Journal cover picture by scapiens
