Jooho Moon and co-workers have developed a novel method to enhance visible-light harvesting in CuFeO2 photocathodes. By introducing an inverse opal structure, they achieve exceptional near-bandgap photon harvesting through multiple scattering and short diffusion distances. This innovation has resulted in the CuFeO2-based photocathode achieving a record-breaking photocurrent density for water reduction among p-type ternary oxide-based photocathodes.-Scientific Journal cover design by scapiens
