Yong-Sang Ryu, Sang-Hyun Oh, Sin-Doo Lee, and their co-workers have discovered that in a supported lipid bilayer membrane with alternating curvature, raft domains first form in the leaflet with negative curvature and then later appear in the apposing leaflet with positive curvature.
