Hyung Mo Jeong, Jeung Ku Kang, and their team have developed high-performance aqueous energy storage using porous Mn3O4 positive electrodes and Fe2O3 negative electrodes. These aqueous hybrid capacitors boast energy densities higher than those of traditional aqueous batteries and remain stable over 30,000 cycles.
